The Profile

Blackfield is a British–Israeli music project formed by Steven Wilson and Aviv Geffen. Active since 2001, the duo blends melodic pop/rock with art-rock sensibilities and themes of sadness and introspection.

Core members: Steven Wilson (UK) and Aviv Geffen (Israel). Debut in 2004; subsequent albums include Blackfield II (2007), Welcome to My DNA (2011), Blackfield IV (2013), Blackfield V (2017), For The Music (2020). Live In NYC DVD released in 2007. Wilson’s role is reduced on IV (with guests Vincent Cavanagh, Brett Anderson, Jonathan Donahue) and more present again on V.
