THE REVIEW

The Black Hearted Brothers are not kids.

Neil Halstead was part of Slowdive, then later in Mojave 3, and in this new adventure, he meets Mark Van Hoen from Seefeel, Nick Holton and they create "Stars Are Our Home". A luminous highway among the stars that connects the 90s to 2013.

A visionary journey through space rock, psychedelia, shoegaze, electronics landscapes.

From the record shelves worn-out covers pop out, Slowdive, Spacemen 3, Curve, Chapterhouse, Spiritualized, Velvet Underground, many names, many blurred memories.

"I Don't Mean to Wonder" is a pulsating shoegaze heart.

"This is How it Feels" the Grandaddy launched into orbit.

"If I Was Here To Change Your Mind" the Velvet Underground, Mojave 3, Spacemen 3, left to float freely in a zero-gravity chamber.

Shoegaze no longer looks at the tips of its shoes, it looks up at the stars and dances "Got Your Love"

It whispers and screams, "UFO", melody and noise.

Voids and wholes tied by a very sweet electronics.

Perfumed, colored, petals thrown into a storm.

One of the great albums of 2013.
