Released in April 2014, ID-LEAKS presents itself as a little gem, nine tracks between neo soul and d'n'b' contaminations, impeccably written and arranged, accompanied by the warm, at times sharp, voice of Naima Faraò.

Certainly not a band of newcomers, these Black Beat Movement, an artistic collective that brings to the stage musicians from projects already known to the Italian public, from Vallanzaska to Rezophonic to Rootical Foundation, and in just under two years has collected over 100 dates, including two appearances at the European Sziget festival. And it's precisely their enormous live energy that compels us to write about them. A high-level, engaging show that reaches its peak the moment it hits the stage. While on the album the coordinates within which the band moves are varied and at times extremely different from each other (lounge echoes, soul, some reggae hints), giving the album a decidedly mature and slightly dispersive approach, the live impact is on a completely different level.

Magnetic, danceable, the tracks follow each other without ever boring and leaving the impression of finding oneself dancing to old hits rather than unknown new tracks.

Particularly noteworthy are What a Gwaan? and All Trapped, vaguely close to certain hip hop, and then Break It and Pla(y)ces, with a decidedly international breath, between soul and dubstep. It is worth highlighting the almost constant presence of scratches, masterfully guided by Dj Agly, which, together with Luca Specchio's sax, contribute to making this ID-LEAKS a decidedly magnetic project, perhaps not innovative, but capable of delivering forty minutes of peace, serenity, and pleasure.
