Blablarism, the moniker behind which operates Oksana Zmorovytch, Kiev. Darkwave, gothwave stripped to the bone that moves its foundations on a few bass loops and drum-machine. The EP "Fugue", released by Fabrika Records (the same as Lebanon Hanover and She Past Away, to be clear), from 2013, is a hypnotic and ectoplasmic debut that does not lack references to the 80's coldwave and the more shadowy post-punk. Comparable, in terms of basic impulses, to the early works of Factory Floor, the lyrical impetus of Icelandic Kælan Mikla or the linear and emotional beats of Black Marble.
Four little songs for about seventeen minutes, with the central pair “Willgetlostonthealley”/”Succedes” almost evoking each other as twins, the first being martial and cadenced, the other hysterical and sensual, the ethereal “A.D.” introduces us to a short but expanded journey like the crepuscular labyrinth of the concluding “Valthesius”, the climax of a crescendo in my opinion more than deserving, debut of a project to be closely monitored.
