Two years after the not-so-good "Kill Or Be Killed" (2003), Biohazard returns with their blend of thrash metal, punk, hardcore, and even rap.
"Means To An End," released this year, is not a random title. Indeed, after 15 years of work, Biohazard is closing up shop. How did they do it? I would say in a more than dignified manner. The album is energetic, genuine: it feels like going back to the days of “Urban Discipline” (1992) and "State Of The World Address" (1994). "My Life, My Way," "The Fire Burns Inside," "Devotion," "Kings Never Die," and "Don’t Stand Alone," the latter being my favorite, are very beautiful. The production is more than acceptable, making Biohazard true champions of hardcore.
Probably some will be saddened by this farewell, but deep down, I think it's right. The band, during its active period, has given all and more, and a subsequent CD to this interesting, but nothing more, "Means To An End," would be a half caricature. So it's right that Biohazard's career ends here. What will Biohazard do now? For now, I know that singer Evan Seinfeld seems to be heading toward a career as a porn star (?!?!?!) and that Billy Graziadei will be engaged in a project with former members of Kittie and Groovenics. I believe we will still hear about them. Unfortunately, not about Biohazard.
