William Patrick Corgan (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and lead singer/guitarist best known as the frontman and primary songwriter of the Smashing Pumpkins.

Lead singer and primary songwriter of The Smashing Pumpkins; formed the band Zwan; released the solo album The Future Embrace (2005); collaborated with Robert Smith on a recording of "To Love Somebody" (appearing on reviews of The Future Embrace).
