William Harrison Withers Jr. (July 4, 1938 – March 3, 2020) was an American singer-songwriter known for hits including "Ain't No Sunshine", "Lean on Me" and "Use Me". He was active largely from the late 1960s through the mid-1980s.

He won multiple Grammy Awards (three). He retired from recording and the public spotlight in the mid-1980s and lived privately thereafter.

A positive close reading of Bill Withers' 1974 album + Justments, highlighting its storytelling, warm arrangements and emotional vocals. Reviewer praises specific tracks (You, The Same Love That Made Me Laugh, Green Grass, Heartbreak Road, Can We Pretend). Recommended for novices and connoisseurs of classic soul.

For:Fans of 1970s soul and singer-songwriters; listeners discovering Bill Withers for the first time; collectors of classic soul albums.

After bringing to light two gems like "Still Bill" (1972) and "Live At The Carnegie Hall" (1973), the American soul-singer returns with this interesting work, less popular than the previous ones but commendable.
