Venetian metal duo from the province of Padua. Reviewed works include the Soul Crisis EP and the Zodiac album. Noted in reviews for blending North‑European death metal with hardcore/metalcore, progressive and black metal elements and for a DIY home‑recording approach.

Reviewed on DeBaser by Seaofdreams: the band is described as a young group from Padua (Veneto), often a duo, blending death metal, hardcore/metalcore and progressive elements; reviews repeatedly note limited audio production and home recording with low‑budget equipment.

Two DeBaser reviews (Seaofdreams) cover Beyond The Gates' Soul Crisis EP and Zodiac album. Reviewers praise compositional range and technical skill while repeatedly noting limited production quality. The band blends North‑European death metal, hardcore/metalcore, progressive and black metal elements.

For:Fans of death metal, melodic/black-influenced metal, metalcore and progressive/underground Italian metal.

Beyond The Gates possess excellent technical and compositional abilities, the passion and dedication to continue doing well and improving over time, and additionally, they have the right inspiration to never fall into the banal, even often incorporating various contaminations and solutions, perhaps not loved by everyone, but that will allow their music to evolve and renew over time.

Definitely a more complete and refined album than the two previous ones, and it would be even more beautiful if the sound quality were superior, in fact, the mix wasn't the best, although a small improvement was noticed.
