Black, untamable, drug-addicted, great ass: hottie
Beautiful voice, a great sensuous voice, with enormous musicians behind her: excellent CDs.

The rule of "tell me who you go with and I'll tell you who you are" is valid everywhere and is truthful. Even more truthful is the saying "tell me who wants you and I'll tell you how much you're worth." Not to mention the great rule of "not just the first jerk that comes along." So, all three sayings converge on Miles Davis, not just the first jerk who goes playing and wants her as his wife. One plus one always equals two, the same as excellent CDs.

Aretha Franklin has a better voice in her genre, one-nil to Aretha. Aretha was less of a hottie, maybe an alcoholic but not drug-addicted, and she didn't have Davis as a surname, 1-1. Aretha made a few million CDs, she made 3, self-titled, this one, and Nasty Gal, so she is easier to find and evaluate, 1-2 for Betty, I vote Betty, Betty wins.

In my opinion, this is her best album, nice Soul, also Funk but without undermining Soul, drugged enough not to bore but not to diminish Soul & Funk. Cheerful, no R&B. Carefree, no mental wanking.
Rating 4/5 and not 5/5 because it's a nice CD but... thanks to the damn (and here it has a very meaningful double entendre, but not duplicated). Miles Davis, not just the first jerk part two long live the cows, but watch out for the ox.

Miles married her, I'll buy her a CD. Eh.
