First, I would like to clarify one thing: those who associate this name with the French brutal-death metal band are mistaken. It might be a case of the same name, but I'm talking not about brutal but black and not from France but from Sweden.
Unfortunately, it's my bad habit to review unknown albums, but even here you can find good (and sometimes amazing) alternatives to the sacred monsters of dark metal. But let's start with the dissection of the CD.
4 tracks with a "Burzum-like" style: long duration. "Like Draperies of The Night Itself" opens the CD, a simple song: plain and effective riffs, guttural vocals, and restrained drum rhythms. Then there's the title track "Avgrundshjärta" which, honestly, months have passed since I got to know this CD, and I still can't pronounce it (I dare anyone!). Let's get to the point; this is also an intense piece, with sharp and melancholic riffs that guide a good use of vocals and a sharp drum. "Vibration of My Thought" is the highlight of the work; it differs from the other songs as it's more rhythmic and let's say with a start that feels like Thrash-metal apart from the guitar, which is always Burzum-effect. The album closes with "Decadence", an instrumental piece in "Decadent" style with guitar, bass, and keyboard forming a soft and pleasant rhythm that seems to want to close this good CD with melancholy.
In summary, it's worth a listen for black metal lovers; you can get the entire album from the link with more information I have added; it's worth it.
P.S. I forgot to mention that this is the debut album of this black-metal combo!
