From the green (?) Poland come Belzebong, a stoner-doom band with a name that is already a whole program. A trippy program, naturally, like their music, a cross between the power of stoner riffs and the pachydermic heaviness of doom, reread through an ultra-distorted sound.

The first full-length of these guys was released in 2011, consisting of only 4 instrumental tracks, totaling half an hour of music that will alter your perceptions. The shadow of the great ceremonial masters Electric Wizard looms over the entire album, although Belzebong lacks the charisma and imagination of the British. As can be easily inferred, the main interest of the band seems to be the consumption of marijuana associated with the demonic-witchcraft universe and b-movie horrors. If Belzebong is to be credited for unleashing a scary sound without any radio concession, on the other hand, they add little to what has already been said within the genre.

An album, therefore, that will delight lovers of these not-so-easy sounds; for everyone else, it could be a new, shocking extra-sensory experience. Recommended, although not necessary, the consumption of good quality marijuana during listening.
