Polish black metal music group formed in 2015, known for the 2015 debut album Litourgiya which blends black metal, doom metal and traditional Orthodox chant elements into a ritual, atmospheric sound.

According to the DeBaser review by Galensorg, the group had three members in the studio and eight for concerts; Litourgiya features eight tracks titled as litanies (Yekteniya I–VIII) with subtitles. Visuals and concert footage are frequently recommended alongside the music.

A highly positive DeBaser review (5/5) celebrates Batushka's 2015 debut Litourgiya for blending black metal, doom and traditional Orthodox chant into a powerful, atmospheric whole. The review emphasizes ritual imagery and recommends watching concert footage for the full visual effect. The album contains eight tracks titled as litanies and creates a cathedral-like sonic space.

For:Fans of black metal, doom metal, and ritual/ liturgical-influenced music.

These travelers of the unknown (and even of time) showed the flair and genius to create a perfect blend of Black Metal, Doom Metal, and traditional Orthodox chants; the result that emerges is breathtaking: the solemnity of the chants (strictly in a low register) in communion, though not always, with Doom layers alternates with brutal and demonic, hyper-fast Black Metal.
