Barry Levinson (born April 6, 1942) is an American film director, screenwriter and producer known for films such as Rain Man, Good Morning, Vietnam, The Natural and Sleepers.

Levinson won the Academy Award for Best Director for Rain Man (1988). Rain Man won four Oscars including Best Picture. He directed commercially successful and critically discussed films across several decades.
