English progressive rock band formed in the Oldham/Saddleworth area in the mid-1960s. Core members included John Lees (guitar, vocals), Les Holroyd (bass, vocals), Stuart 'Woolly' Wolstenholme (keyboards) and Mel Pritchard (drums). Known for blending rock with orchestral arrangements and prominent mellotron textures.

Formed in the mid-1960s in the Oldham/Saddleworth area. Early work featured full orchestral arrangements conducted by Robert Godfrey. Once Again (1971) was recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Time Honoured Ghosts (1975) was recorded in San Francisco and produced by Elliot Mazer. Mel Pritchard (drummer) died in 2004. The band is often referred to as BJH and has a catalogue of symphonic-leaning progressive rock and melodic, pastoral songs.
