A beautiful collection of diverse sounds, there's no denying that. In addition to the number of instruments present on the album, the atmospheres created range from the swing of the '50s ("Earth Angel") to the added tinkling pianos and the guitars of the '70s and '90s. A timeless album that serves as a great backdrop. It's no coincidence that it's the soundtrack of the film of the same name. In the sparse British scene, Damon Gough deserves credit for having created something... singular. It's a pleasant album that leaves a good taste in your mouth when you put it back in its case. Certainly not enlightening. Recommended.
