I can't believe that no one has reviewed what is undoubtedly one of the best albums of the 90s Punk Rock scene.
The Californians Bad Religion decide to go big and in 1993 they release "Recipe For Hate," an album well-calibrated among their best works. It starts with "Recipe For Hate," a classic Bad Religion track, aggressive and melodic at the same time, "Kerosene," a calmer and more reflective track but still noteworthy, prepares the way for what is perhaps the best track in the discography of the Los Angeles band, "American Jesus." After the third track, the album loses a bit of its punch to make way for more extended melodic parts and well-executed variations in the compositional style as in "All Good Soldiers" and "Don't Pray On Me." Another track worthy of note is undoubtedly "Watch It Die," which opens and closes with a military march; "I was born on planet earth at a drastic time full of plastic mirth and everyday I've seen increasing signs and you would too if you'd opened your eyes you had a chance you did not try so now it's time to watch it die
