Bad English is an Anglo-American AOR supergroup formed by members of Journey and The Babys. They released two studio albums (Bad English, Backlash) and scored the US #1 single "When I See You Smile."

Lineup on the debut included Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), John Waite (vocals), Ricky Phillips (bass) and Deen Castronovo (drums). The debut album (1989) is frequently cited in reviews for its mix of ballads and rock tracks.
