Fronted by Pete Doherty (formerly of the Libertines). Debut album Down In Albion (2005). Shotter's Nation (2007) produced with involvement from Stephen Street. Released material on major labels including Parlophone.

DeBaser's reviews of Babyshambles mix admiration for Pete Doherty's songwriting and live energy with criticism of production and drug-related chaos. Down In Albion polarised critics; Shotter's Nation is seen as a partial recovery. Live shows are described as messy but often compelling.
