Avon is a band led by drummer Alfredo Hernandez; the group released the album Mad Marco (2016) and is described in reviews as rooted in desert/stoner rock.

Alfredo Hernandez is known as the drummer on Kyuss' last album, a founding member/early contributor to Queens of the Stone Age, and a founder/member of Yawning Man. Avon is a later band project featuring Hernandez and the 2016 album Mad Marco.

 Look, it was really a great concert! And then at the end they played five spectacular encores, picking two tracks from The Circus leave Town, the last chapter of Kyuss, and three from the debut of QOTSA. The telluric Hurricane above all! I couldn't have gone to bed happier than that!..
