Scottish funk and soul band formed in 1972, best known for the 1974 album AWB and the 1975 album Cut The Cake. The instrumental "Pick Up the Pieces" was a major hit. The group's classic lineup included Alan Gorrie, Onnie McIntyre, Hamish Stuart, Roger Ball, Malcolm "Molly" Duncan and drummer Robbie McIntosh; Steve Ferrone joined after McIntosh's death.

The review on DeBaser (nofake) documents Robbie McIntosh's 1974 overdose, Steve Ferrone's subsequent entry into the band, the 1975 release of Cut The Cake produced by Arif Mardin, and the band's reputation for precise funk arrangements. Members later worked with other major artists (Hamish Stuart with Paul McCartney; Steve Ferrone with Duran Duran as noted in the review).

Single longform review on DeBaser praises Cut The Cake (1975) as a funk classic, describes the death of drummer Robbie McIntosh and Steve Ferrone's arrival, and highlights the group's tight arrangements and studio craft. The review rates the album 5/5.
