Avenger are an English N.W.O.B.H.M. band formed in 1982 in Newcastle; lineup on early records included Ian Davison Swift (vocals), Mick Moore (bass), Les Cheetham (guitar) and Gary Young (drums). Their debut Blood Sports (1984) and the 1985 release Killer Elite are noted in reviews.
