They are the underground phenomenon of the moment, but they will last much longer than a moment, and are becoming less and less "underground."

"Black Rainbow" (2011) is the second punch in the stomach from Aucan; maybe it's dubstep maybe not, dubcore or some sick version of post-rock, to be honest, I care only up to a point, it's music with balls.

An album different from the self-titled debut of 2008, still raw. Here, the sounds are full and powerful, meticulously crafted; already the EP "DNA" (2010) had indicated the way, the violence of "Crisis" reverberates a year later in the grooves of Black Rainbow, which is a masterpiece, you will have realized, a real barrage of heavy blows that kill. "Heartless," the title-track, the cruel coldness of the few words in "Away!".

Seeing them live is a life experience, but on record, the energy is still enough to change your day.

This is the music of the 2010s: hoods up.
