THE REVIEW

A great band in the world of Melodic Death, they have produced an album beyond the others that to say it's amazing is an understatement.

The album opens with their "The Swarm": it starts with a thunderstorm over which the sound of a bow is superimposed. And right after, the actual song begins with a sharp rhythm and an exceptional voice, to say the least. Then the title track "Terminal Spirit Disease". Wonderful, to say the least, full of energy. Track 3 is a parallel jump to the album: a choir of three acoustic guitars, a bass, and a cello: "And The World Returned" is a simple and highly effective track that pairs very well with the death atmosphere of the rest of the album. Continuing, we find "Forever Blind": here too the ears find an excellent atmosphere full of death sounds and a unique voice. Particularly interesting is track 5, "The Fevered Circle". Distorted yet melodic sound that decidedly contrasts with the following "The Beautiful Wound". With a very sustained drum rhythm, this song is among the best on the album. And finally, here are the three gems of the album. At The Gates offers us three of the band's best pieces in an unreleased live version. "All Life Ends", "The Burning Darkness", and "Kingdom Gone" delight our ears and demonstrate how At The Gates are among the best existing bands in the pack of Melodic Death Metal.

Just 6 songs are more than sufficient to express a positive and complete judgment.

If you don’t feel like listening to the whole album, just listen to 'Forever Blind,' it alone represents everything.
