A 14-year-old black boy, born and raised in Brooklyn, dreams of becoming bigger than Jay-Z.
It might sound like the classic stereotype if it weren't for the fact that this boy, Brian Bradley aka Astro, is indeed bigger than Jay-Z.
But let's start from the beginning: "X-Factor USA" there is not like here, there you win $5 million, there it's serious business, there are millions of people at the auditions to beat, and Astro, accompanied by his mother because he is small and innocent, shows up at the auditions like this with this self-written song where he tells people to stop looking at his shapely mother, "Stop looking at my mom," wins over the judges' beat, particularly that of L.A Reid, a producer of very well-known names who sees a lot of money coming in through Astro.
He's not modest, he knows he's strong, he has been writing rap since he was 9 years old, for him school is a waste of time, his education is the ghetto, rhymes are what counts, he has a purpose, he can't go play basketball with boys his age, he must become a star at all costs, he has Flow on his side.
