Yazoo is an English synth-pop duo formed by Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet, best known for two early-1980s albums combining Clarke's synth arrangements with Moyet's powerful voice.

Vince Clarke was previously a founding member of Depeche Mode and later formed Erasure with Andy Bell. Alison Moyet pursued a solo career after Yazoo. Yazoo released two studio albums: Upstairs At Eric's (1982) and You and Me Both (1983).

Two DeBaser reviews praise Yazoo's short but intense output: energetic synth-pop paired with Alison Moyet's powerful vocals and Vince Clarke's clean electronic arrangements. The duo released two studio albums that remain reference points for early-80s synth music. The coverage is affectionate and nostalgic.

For:Fans of 1980s synth-pop, lovers of strong soulful vocals over electronic backdrops.

You and Me Both" is the diary of a curious harmony: you and I together is what the title means, and just a glance at the tracklist is enough to understand why.

"Only You" the most beautiful track of the entire album, an extraordinary dream, a rare and blinding beauty, melodies, synthesizers, and an unfillable voice that will remain in music history
