Leon Russell (born Claude Russell Bridges) was an American musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, active from the 1950s through 2016. He worked as a session musician and solo artist, blending rock, blues and country; he collaborated with artists such as Joe Cocker and, late in his career, Elton John.

Born Claude Russell Bridges (April 2, 1942 – November 13, 2016). Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
