LA RECENSIONE

In this album, an attempt is made to combine black club mod rhythms with fervent improvisations, not formally constrained by the era's stylistic norms.

Let's say it's a kind of liberating STYLISTIC FREAK OUT. This is the case with the delightful "I THINK I'M GOING WEIRD"... the English band from CARLISLE certainly isn't thrilled with the vintage covers of YOUNG RASCALS AND BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, the latter released as the album's leading single, but the soul psychedelia blend can be relished with ecstatic pleasure.

In moments such as the song that gives the album its title, released in 1967, ART pushes the accelerator a bit, reaching a boisterous freakbeat that's far from dismissible.

IN ESSENCE...... a good light psychedelic pop group aiming to take off but never quite reached 1968......
