From my stay in Germany (2001/2002), I fondly remember two particular customs: the first was reflected in the kick-ass university theme parties (weekly!), the second refers to the wonderful sensation that preceded entering the large and well-stocked city store, the noble cousin of our MediaMondo. I say noble because with great aplomb it allows (allowed) you to listen to all CDs, sealed or not, using numerous well-equipped stations without anyone bothering you and without those damn and useless dispensers of the usual top 10 local five CDs, which then most of the time don't even work. I remember the "hauls" of CDs with which I approached the player, engaging it until I became rooted.

Thus, credit to the modern and egalitarian land of Germany for introducing me to so much beautiful music. In question, these Aromabar, an electrobeat/downtempo/twostep Viennese group now permanently composed of Roland Hackl and Andreas Kinzl in production and composition and Karin Steger on vocals. The song that was all the rage at the time was called "All I Want", which immediately won me over as well, to the extent that I wanted to delve deeper into a genre that, for the most part, I associated with ephemeral entertainment situations and which frequently appeared in Buddha Bar or Café del Mar compilations.

However, although Aromabar do not disdain appearing in the aforementioned collections, they possess a certain incisiveness that, fortunately, distances them from the inevitable soap-like effect characterizing all lounge/chill compilations. The album, in fact, appears very played with booming bass and a very reassuring homogeneity. The elegance of the vocals and the alternation between down-midtempo and ambient tracks provide the right balance, allowing the listener to finally take positions on any preferences between one track and another.

Personally, besides "All I Want", I find the 2step of "Some Didn't Even Know My Name" and the ballad "Father" very fascinating. The entire album is well worth listening to, reinforcing the qualities of the label INfra.com, which has always offered excellent music in the genre (to mention Marshmellows, Taxi, Kosma).

Apologizing for the simplicity of the discourse (technical experts in the genre will find this writing of mine very poor), I refer to listening to "Milk & Honey" and discovering the label INfra.com.

Milk & honey greetings
