The Profile

Apoteosi were an Italian progressive rock group from Calabria formed around the Idà siblings (Massimo, Silvana, Federico). They released a single self-titled album in 1975 and disbanded shortly after.

Line-up included Massimo Idà (piano, synthesizer), Silvana Idà (vocals), Federico Idà (bass, flute), Marcello Surace (drums), and Franco Vinci (guitar). The album was produced by Salvatore Idà and issued on his small label. At recording time Federico was 17 and Massimo 14; the band’s structures are unusual and chorus-free, with strong recording quality for a small production.

Apoteosi were an Italian progressive rock group from Calabria who released one self-titled album in 1975 and split soon after. A family project led by the Idà siblings, the record leans on restless keyboards, bold structures, and strong recording quality. Standout pieces include Embrion and Prima Realtà/Frammentaria Rivolta, though not all tracks convince. Recommended for fans of RPI.
