The Profile

Apollyon Sun were a Swiss industrial metal band formed by Tom Gabriel Fischer (Tom G. Warrior) after Celtic Frost’s initial split, releasing the EP God Leaves (And Dies) in 1998 and the album Sub in 2000 before becoming inactive in the early 2000s.

Formed by Tom Gabriel Fischer (Tom G. Warrior). Members associated in the period included Erol Unala, Marky Edelmann (ex-Coroner), Danny Zingg, and Donovan Szypura. Releases include the EP God Leaves (And Dies) (1998) and the album Sub (2000, Mayan Records). The project went dormant when focus returned to Celtic Frost.

ElectricOne reviews Sub (2000), giving it 3/5 and framing it as Tom G. Warrior’s industrial turn with heavy electronics, dub and trip hop shades. The core remains metal, slow and oppressive, with highlights like Slander and a warped Messiah cover. Human is criticized for echoing Manson’s Beautiful People. Overall: interesting but not fully centered, bridging Celtic Frost’s past and future.
