THE REVIEW

When they say having music in the blood...

Anoushka, daughter of one of the greatest virtuosos (if not the greatest) of the sitar in the world, whose name is Ravi Shankar. The one who taught this art to George Harrison.

The young lady here presents us with a total of 4 ragas arranged by her father and her own original composition ("Pratham Prem"). Incredible musical, compositional, and technical maturity at just 17 years old.

The wonderful exotic sound of this instrument encloses us in a meditative and spiritual trance, letting us navigate within ourselves.

Hypnotized by the constantly underlying tambura, we have the opportunity to witness the mystical dialogues in crescendo between sitar and tablas.

The purification of body and mind. Our personal temple.

I think I'm in love with her.
