Anouk Teeuwe was born in the Netherlands on April 8, '75. She had a restless adolescence due to her great vitality. At 15, she left home and started singing as a backup singer in R&B groups following a disappointing experience at the conservatory.
Thanks to her splendid voice and beauty, she got noticed and at only 22, she released "NOBODY'S WIFE" (after the failure of her first marriage at just 19), the first single from the album "Together Alone", which quickly soared to the top of all worldwide charts.
Subsequently, she won various awards around the world and released 3 more albums "Urban Solitude", "Lost Tracks", and "Graduated Fool", always in search of the perfect rock, but remained captive to "Nobody's Wife" and its great success. In 2004, within a room at the New York hotel in Rotterdam, she started composing "Hotel New York", the album of change?
Released in Belgium and the Netherlands, it sold 250,000 copies. Anouk no longer shouts that she won't be anyone's wife. Now she has a splendid family, and this is reflected in her music.
