Rating: Approaching dissolution, this technically skilled and experienced band in the field presents us with this mini album, line up: M. Hreidmarr singer and M. Xort (keyboardist), M. Bayle (guitar), M. Couquet (bass), M. Vant (drums).
The opening track, 'Sister September', features the classic black style, not overly fast in tempo, and the classic scream, while the lyrics appear dark.
'La chouanne', the second track, starts with the organ and chimes of a church, initial clean voice, and the lyrics in French, definitely better than the previous track, even in the metric which here is more spaced and slow. This track could easily be considered the best, contending for the title with the next 'Quintessence', here, against the backdrop of double bass and guitar, the singer embodies a supreme being but of unknown nature, who, quoting the lyrics, is capable of dispelling 10,000 trolls hard as rock and icy as ice, as well as passing unharmed from a shipwreck of ravenous waves and remaining wet only on the feet; as well as other equally suggestive feats, outlined in a structure that first presents the situation, then specifying the outcome. Organ and chimes always present. The following 'I'll kill you' as the title presumes, is an outburst at someone, presumably a woman, to whom we are certainly not grateful, even though the melodic structure of the track seems a bit dull to me.
'The shining' a very violent sound, harsh and raw and misanthropic lyrics, eaten by extreme scream, which halfway through the track returns to French. 'Sabat mether dolorosa' is another song with almost incomprehensible lyrics without the words in front of you, as Hreidmarr swallows his words; something that, however, can prove interesting metrically... here are some verses: Chatiee d'etre nee putain, Non, chatiee d'etre nee trop tard, Une seule nuit ne suffit plus, A nous separer du
