THE REVIEW

The Annihilator return with their almost original line-up, after various changes, and disappointing albums by Jeff Waters who had found himself playing all the instruments. He has decided to get serious again, with relics like "Alice in Hell", they return with "Criteria For A Black Widow".

The album in question is 100% thrash, it opens with the beautiful and energetic "Bloodbath" (featuring incredible solos; my favorite track). It is followed by "Back to the Palace" which maintains the same level as the previous song. Then comes "Punctured", a powerful song with a chorus that sticks in your head throughout the entire listen of the album. It continues with the genius title track, but slower compared to the previous songs.
The CD stays consistent and devastating from the first to the last song, with fabulous and well-made tracks: "Schizos", "Nothing Left", "Loving the Sinner", and "Double Dare".

In conclusion, I am still trying to recover from the solos that our Jeff has reserved for us in this album, they are incredible and outstanding. Kudos also to the vocals, always fitting perfectly with the album's sound. The return of our guys couldn't have gone better than this; the album will not disappoint anyone, especially thrash lovers and beyond.

So the purchase is more than mandatory (trust me).

Best Regards.
