Second book published by Adelphi by Greer, the first was "The Confessions of Max Tivoli." Great expectations, since the first one wasn't too bad and Adelphi claims this one is even better. I start reading, well-written, essential but I can't understand where this rather banal story is going. I muster up courage, continue because all in all there's something intriguing, a bit hidden, weaving into the plot. The reading gets a bit boring, but, ATTENTION, on page 61 the bombshell. Fantastic, what I just read is absolutely unexpected, it completely changes the perspective of everything I've read so far. The book changes completely, I can't tear myself away from the pages, I absolutely must know how it ends. The reading becomes frantic, and the plot twists follow one after another. Finished, wonderful book.
I recommend the book to everyone. I haven't revealed anything about the plot because it would spoil all the pleasure of reading.
