Apparently, in the meantime, those twenty years have passed by LE without even noticing. From what I saw this morning, it's like that.
From the idea of Andrea Salerno, current Director of TG LA7 for just 2 small months, towards the end of the Nineties (and I'm already shedding a few tears, I admit it), came the show - with PassepArtout - THAT ABOVE ALL OTHERS SPREADS THE CULTURAL OFFERING IN THE RAI SCHEDULE (forget about Sostiene Bollani, Linea Blu, or -E H M- Domenica IH!) during the weekend.
Intelligent questions ranging from Allegre Fattorie to Ungaretti's Mattina, to the tales of the Decameron or the collections of Ossi di Seppia, from Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino to Due di Due by Andrea De Carlo (which I’ve seen highly reviewed here, by the way), from the poetic Luís Sepúlveda and Grazia Deledda to literary denunciations, such as The Last Nine Months by Baiguera, which deals with the increase in shadow work and the adage work to live marvelously, while new marvels flee from austerity-stricken Italy, not at all neglecting the 8-'900 d'oïl [Hugo, Verne, Sartre, Valery] and delightful young fantasy writings, like The Last Elf. Two school classes from different schools - mostly high schools - are involved in the quiz, yet only on an informational basis.
In the pre-evening slot 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM (that is until 2006-07, excluding those years), the program almost always had good ratings, partly due to the absence of captivating afternoon soap operas and the then decline in popularity of the so-called trash format airing elsewhere , which, with the advent of social platforms, saw a mass resurgence, slowly leading Per un Pugno di Libri to several hosting changes and (after about a quarter-year in which Marcorè left) the sudden shift of the non-mainstream block to the morning hours, where it still resides. The hosting by Cucciari and the choice of soundtracks are well-managed, with rare lapses in color, stereo effects synchronization, and photographic plans. Long live the host, authors, visual-engineers and director.
Warmest regards [to those who deserve it] and thanks for the appreciation [idem with chips].
