"Albè, tutta Roma sta a salutà".... touching words from "La voce di Roma" with which the singer-actor Andrea Perrozzi, who on many occasions proudly becomes the spokesperson of an ancient and never self-indulgent Roman tradition, pays a heartfelt tribute to Alberto Sordi, one of the greatest comedians of Rome alongside the legendary Petrolini.
And it is with this evocative ballad/prologue that Perrozzi Rugantino opens the curtain of "Stop" only to transform into a modern-day Rino Gaetano and crown himself as a promoter of an indignant and somewhat sarcastic denunciation of the current Italian political situation, in "Il Primo della lista" characterized by a '70s disco sound and groove.

"Stop" is an exhibition of small black-and-white sketches that paint everyday stories; snapshots that touch the strings of the heart and mind, through a clever use of lyrics that remain faithful to simplicity because Andrea is the people's storyteller, the one who narrates the dreams of any Sara, Francesca, or Nico.
"Stop" is an exciting work, sincere and honest, where piano notes chase atmospheres suspended in space and time, transforming into the light yet never trivial melody of "Nel vento" and where Perrozzi can also scratch, flirting with rock in "Imprevisti eroi" or, in his own way, dusting off a classic by the unforgettable Alunni del Sole, "Mi manchi tanto".
"Nonostante te" is still my favorite track on the album, for its captivating bass line, a vocal line very close to the recent productions of Zero Assoluto, a simple and impactful refrain.

"Stop" is a well-structured album, played and arranged with mastery, that demonstrates a certain compositional and stylistic maturity, in which our metropolitan minstrel convincingly manages to capture the listener's attention, creating magical melodies upon which his thoughts and deepest perceptions float. With "Stop" Andrea Perrozzi invites us to keep fighting, to never stop, and to never give up dreaming…."Nonostante tutto".
