I recommend this CD to everyone who comes home every day stressed and with a big headache... put the CD in the stereo, turn off the lights, close your eyes and let yourself be accompanied by Andrea Griminelli, this great flautist, into an ancient, magical, enchanted world, beyond the time we know, an almost mystical universe.
Full serenity will invade your body, your mind will be free from thoughts like never before, only the sweet music of the flute will reign, the sounds of nature, the keyboards, and the arrangements by maestro Valerio Semplici. The six tracks of this work are all excellently crafted in every detail, each track has its own soul... "Sea of milk" is decidedly velvety and light, "Sahara" more tribal and rhythmic, "Near and far" more in the Afro style, the flute acts as a teleporter, as a guiding voice, the human voice is not needed here.
One of the most beautiful pieces is undoubtedly "Blue light", it opens with thunder and pouring rain, the sound of the flute here serves the same function as the sun coming out from behind a cloud and bringing spring... it may seem strange, but while listening to the record you'll feel the same "vibrations" that I'm describing to you. To introduce people to maestro Andrea Griminelli, it must be said that he is not a new name, on the contrary... in 1984 he was introduced to the overseas public by Luciano Pavarotti, with whom he performed the memorable London concert at Hyde Park in 1990 and at Central Park in 1993; recently he has collaborated with Sting, Elton John, James Taylor, and Brandford Marsalis.
All his creativity is concentrated in this new age record... a great record, a great artist, a great musician!
