By Luciano Boccardi.
The multifaceted nature of his personality is perfectly showcased in this book, where the deep sensitivity of the soul engages his body in the most diverse actions. Filling space using forms and tools to capture life's frames are the means Andrea Giorgi uses to constantly strive to make life serene, considering his profession as a doctor and now also as a writer, poet, and multi-instrumentalist musician, making him an even more valuable man.
The book cover, original and sunny, well represents with its design the dreamlike and real world you will find inside. As stated in the Introduction by writer B. Alberti and in the preface by Prof. P. Michelis, it is truly a book for everyone who listens to life as if following a musical rhythm. The paintings seamlessly blend with the works, and the many shaded colors of the drawings harmonize well with the sentiments expressed in the poems: the one on the cover, created by his wife Enrica, perfectly allows understanding and imagining the entire world described in the book, where life’s events and experiences span from the real world to the fantastic one. In this context, the only flaw is the illustrative photos, which are too dark to give the right light to the Author and his musician friends' smiling faces and the clarity of the images of the magical studio.
Each poem holds, for the Author, its own meaning, personal experiences, and emotions often recognizable even within ourselves, and truly involve all the states and nuances of the soul that he manages to fully describe:
refined and melancholy in "Piccolo me," the child poet;
adventurous and imaginative in "Strada maestra," like wandering gypsies and roaming painters of starry skies;
ironic and sarcastic as in "la Cravatta," where the essential appendage of attire can become "the embellishment of smoke sellers";
of faith and hope in "Le Vie del silenzio," where the path to essence is a continuous departure on the day of the Spirit;
of harsh reality in "Meditazione," where despite everything, every day "life does not give up!";
of a real and profound love for all that surrounds him, particularly emerging in the poems "Il Rifugio," "Lenny," "Pioggia," and "Oltre i mie sensi," where in the embrace of your bodyless soul you become one body and soul every day beyond the senses.
Very special, evocative, and rich in even current history, given the historical moment we are living in, is the musical poem "Il Tempo che emozione," composed and written in communion with his son Lorenzo, also a musician and talented singer. The musical piece opens the CD that can be heard along with other tracks via the QR Code on page 170. Despite being very rhythmic and cheerful, it hides a poetic theme of a snapshot of daily reality, quickly narrating multiple states of mind, leaving hope... where... in the future, a new beginning of acceleration and regeneration will create a time of relaxation, emotions in succession.
The 12 songs, some truly original and engaging, are rich in notable forms and musical styles: from jazz to melodic pop, to rock, to new age, all played by refined instrumentalists, as in the piece "Kathelin Gray," and by talented singers, particularly with interesting voices as in "Springing without rain" and "Ti ritrovo."
Reading this book, therefore, is good for the mind, spirit, and imagination, but above all to fully understand this world, it is also necessary to access the QR code, where the musical realization in the space of Andrea Giorgi's instrumental and poetic creativity makes you feel the heartbeat that involves every human action, from the birth of the Spirit as in the poem "La Fine dei tempi": in search of beauty and Judgment in celestial harmonies.
