Rating: It’s incredible! As soon as I entered this site, I realized the absence of the review of a milestone in the history of 20th-century music! It’s inconceivable that in a review site there’s no mention of the best Noise-Grind album (and more) of all time!
Even though I only came to this site to read and comment, I can’t help but write my opinion on what is surely the most underrated album of the last 20 (or 40) years!
The likes of love songs as those contained in "PICNIC OF LOVE" have not been heard since the times of the Beatles and Sinatra.
It’s not just peace and love, but also profound spirituality, phrases like “Io rispetto i tuoi sentimenti, Io rispetto il tuo sesso, Io rispetto la tua esistenza, Sarò sempre tenero, Perché io rispetto i tuoi sentimenti, Come donna e come umano” undoubtedly engrave themselves indelibly in the listener's heart.
Seth Putnam, the creator of these beautiful melodies, unfortunately passed away due to substance abuse (may he rest in peace), and in this CD, he decided to express his inner goodness towards all his fans, to make everyone who listens understand that beyond the massacring screams, offensive lyrics, detuned guitars, and monochord riffs, there is also a great desire to love others and have a PICNIC OF LOVE with them!
I recommend this album to lovers of any genre, from jazz to classical music, you surely won't be disappointed, and from the first listen, you will completely reevaluate the intense meaning hidden behind the often-maligned genre classified under the name of Noise-Grind! If you don’t love this album, you don’t love life; if you don’t love Anal Cunt, you don’t understand anything about contemporary (and modern) music!
Having said that, I’ll leave you with the translation of the lyrics of one of the most memorable songs from what can easily be defined as a masterpiece, perfect from all viewpoints, so profound that it sends shivers down the spine of any singer who talks about love:
