Alquin are a Dutch progressive rock band from Delft, formed in 1971 by students who evolved from Threshold Fear. Early albums Marks (1972) and The Mountain Queen (1973) led to notable appearances including Pinkpop ’73 and a 1974 tour supporting The Who. Their best-known release is Nobody Can Wait Forever (1975), produced by Rodger Bain, with Wheelchair Groupie gaining single success. The band split in 1977 and reunited in 2003.
