THE REVIEW

After the interesting debut 7" titled "Just For Fun," Alpaca Sports release the single "She'll come back for Indian Summer" for Luxury Records.

The recipe is the same as their first two songs ("Just For Fun" and "I'll Never Win") from Andreas Jonsson's project (vocals and guitar) in which he mainly relies on the help of Amanda Åkerman's voice - also present during live performances - and Diana Andrén Scarpati's viola (just two of the various collaborators of the project) to create effective pop melodies. The track, within three and a half minutes of harmonies, echoes the indie pop of Belle & Sebastian, which contrasts with the more or less intentional melancholy of the lyrics (reminiscent of Stuart Murdoch's lyrics of the aforementioned B&S). Other possible influences can be identified in the Lemonheads and Beat Happening, more or less deliberately mentioned in the song.

Special mention goes to the cover art by Ray Kimura, who also handled the graphics for the group's other works.
