LA RECENSIONE

First live album in their career for the Neapolitans Almamegretta, a group that has managed to carve out a significant share of attention in the Italian music scene, especially with excellent records such as "Sanacore" and "Imaginaria".

"Venite! Venite!" is composed of songs from all the group's albums (thus "Anima migrante", "Sanacore", "Lingo", "4/4" and "Imaginaria"). 13 tracks, including 2 unreleased tracks recorded in the studio (Uno and Due), an introduction and 4 medleys of historic songs. The arrangements of the songs are striking, never mediocre and always full of originality.

Two unreleased songs, Uno and Due; the first is a classic Almamegretta track, characterized by a hypnotic groove, while the second unreleased piece has a beautiful melodic line. Excellent songs. After an intro, the first two tracks that echo in the ears are the initial 2 medleys of the album, that is, The cheap guru/Figli di Annibale (an immortal track retrieved from the band's very first self-titled mini-CD) and the beautiful Fa' ammore cu'mme/Nn te scurdà. Live, electronic music takes the lead. The following tracks are the gems taken from "Sanacore", Pe' dint''e viche addo' nun trase' o mare, Maje, the beautiful ballad with a popular flavor Sanacore or again O' sciore cchiu' felice (which live gains much more vigor than the studio version) and how not to be amazed in front of a breathtaking version of Suonno, completely different from the version contained in the album "Lingo", characterized by a double drum groove (electronic and non-electronic), electronic inserts (curated by the never forgotten D. Rad) and a robust guitar riff. Raiz's voice is unstoppable.

Not just a simple live. Listen to believe.
