The choice of this album was not easy. I practically like all the production of Almamegretta.
In the end, the emotion of the first encounter made the difference, one evening, at the maritime station.

Animamigrante is a great album, right from the title.
All the tracks are the result of a bold journey, through the alleys of history and the highways of prejudice; between the present that does not change and the past that comes back.
Blood and Soul! Refined electronics, from reggae, to dub, to tribal rhythms and above all Raiss's voice: inside when needed, outside when necessary.
It's the wind of the South, blowing at night and unsettling the souls of the sleepers, leaving the unmistakable mark of its passage.

An album without compromise, paradoxically clear to those who understand it and incomprehensible only to those who do not want to understand.
Sometimes you have to choose...
