Every once in a while, the need for novelty arises, yet within the usual things... I felt the need and I discovered Alien Army. Who are they?? Alien Army: Dj Duble S, Dj Gruff, Dj Inesha, Dj Micro Metz, Dj Skizo, Dj Stile, Dj Tayone, Dj Type 10, Dj Zak... and I've already said practically everything we are facing 9 of the best DJs on the scene not just in Italian hip hop. The End:

Released in 2003, Alien Army masterfully and innovatively express themselves on various themes, but the central one is war, as it emerges from the CD's title that can be both "The End" for the group and "The End" for the world. We are in 2003, and Bush declares war on Saddam. "The Terrible Invasion" obviously evokes the issue, even naming the capital cities of the trident Rome-London-New York, which sound quite odd these days, between one scratch and another.
The "Intro" that opens the CD is a whole program, ending with a breathtaking scream. The rest of the CD is sound, pure sound. Psychedelic at times, underground, hardcore-hip hop, with almost melodic tones in some phases or rocking like the sampling of a Pink Floyd piece. This CD is a work of art, few words in English on a record that skips and scratches, and a sound beneath that pumps like few others. The record can be: psychedelic, underground, hardcore, or mesmerizing, simple as that, depending on when and how you listen to it. Nine great DJs that make your stereo bounce, and, indeed, bless it. A truly phenomenal sound, even for those who are not hip hop lovers, for those who love the pure essence of sound, for those who adore psychedelia, for those who love the underground, and for those who live solely for hardcore.
This group was born in 1996 but released for the first time (after a mixtape that year, I believe) in 2000, and encapsulates all the characteristics of these DJs from the oriental passions of Dj Gruff to the more electronic sound of Dj Double S. Nevertheless, they remain the best on the scene, and this CD embodies the soul of these DJs, with a piece where a space is dedicated to DJ Radar "The terrible Invasion pt.1". Dj Gruff's leading presence in "The Classic" is felt. This group is truly unique and allows the listener to enter a world dominated by sound, where only that matters: the sound, long and short tracks, more or less electronic, that always underline the same subject: the sound. These are waves of sound that collide and create invisible lines inside, inside your brain. If you are standing, it's impossible not to move, and the best part is that you don’t get tired... these DJs are really talented folks, and highly capable of surprising, even with simple tracks... if you don’t have this CD, well, find it, and then get their entire discography, which isn’t very long, and if you like, discover these DJs on your own, or within their groups...

The golden era of hip hop may never return, which according to the experts ended in the lamented 1999, but personally, when I hear these later pearls, maybe a bit too optimistically, I always think that this genre can make a comeback... it can truly regenerate, and this CD can appeal to all sound lovers, not just hip hop... Therefore, I believe that Alien Army deserves a place in the elite of the best hip hop ever, and The End, personally, should mark a new Start for hip hop and those who love it.
People, trust me, it's worth it.
Breathe the sound, live it...
"Alien Army-The End", what are you waiting for?
