He recorded the 1977 LP Come barchette dentro un tram (lyrics by Cohen, music by Franco Battiato and Giusto Pio; cover by Ugo Nespolo), appeared in the films Il marchese del Grillo (1981) and Parentiserpenti (1992), was involved with the early gay movement Fuori!, and died in 2014 in Tunis.
