Along with the swallows, spring has also brought some novels to read in this first half of 2019. The ones highlighted today are Lena and the Storm, soon to be published, and I Love You Like in the Movies, released in February.

I Love You Like in the Movies, by Mimmo Parisi

For the Bolognese writer Mimmo Parisi, the literary season has already begun in February 2019, leading to the publication of the thrilling novel titled I Love You Like in the Movies (LIBeRO style, 227 pages), distributed by Feltrinelli, Mondadori. The story revolves around two brothers, Mirko and Fede, and a girl. Both are in love with her. Morgana chooses the latter. Far from being simply relegated to the time of adolescence, this very first love is also the last for Mirko.

At a certain point, Mirko decides to definitively give up on that difficult love. He becomes a missionary in South Sudan. With the arrival of the global economic crisis in 2007, Fede, also in the grip of a financial and psychological meltdown, leaves as a lay volunteer for the same destination as his brother. Unfortunately, in Africa, the formidable Ebola virus will force Mirko to a dramatic choice.
