Alessandro Moreschi (1858–1922) was an Italian castrato singer, the last castrato of the Sistine Chapel and the only castrato to leave solo phonographic recordings (made 1902–1904). He served as a soloist of the Sistine Chapel Choir and retired in 1913.

Recorded 17 tracks between 1902 and 1904 in the Sistine Chapel; these recordings are the only direct solo audio documents of a castrato voice. Moreschi retired in 1913 and died in 1922.

The recordings are valued as unique documental relics rather than as demonstrations of peak vocal artistry. The review mixes historical context, mild irony, and appreciation for the recordings' atmospheric charm.
