In 2010, Alessandro Fiori, former voice of Mariposa, releases his debut solo album titled "Attento a me stesso".

"Attento a me stesso" consists of eleven songs halfway between Fiori's peculiar songwriting and quality pop. The references for the lyrics are varied, ranging from Dalla to Ivan Graziani and arriving at Piero Ciampi, but the surreal and disillusioned songwriting of the former Mariposa member is now immediately recognizable.

The sound of the album is less experimental than that of the originating group, but it shouldn't be dismissed as predictable pop, given the participation of Enrico Gabrielli and Alessandro “Asso” Stefana (just two of the various names involved). The album consists of 11 personal snapshots: ranging from the angst-serenity dualism of "Catino Blu" to the disenchantment of "Lungomare", from the references to the musical world of "2 Cowboys per un Parcheggio" to the concluding non-sense nursery rhyme "Trenino a cherosene".

The inevitable solo debut has opened new paths in Fiori's artistic journey, leading him to a definitive individual consecration as an author of pop songs that are unpretentious but never banal.
