Albert Ayler (1936–1970) was an American saxophonist and composer, a leading figure in free and avant‑garde jazz.

Spiritual Unity was recorded July 10, 1964 with Sunny Murray (drums) and Gary Peacock (double bass). Ayler recorded for ESP‑Disk among other labels.
